The Arts + Business Council of Greater Nashville hosts the Creative Exchange Conference on Saturday, October 1, 2022 to bring together artists, arts administrators, creative entrepreneurs, and business professionals to build community across genres; inspire thought-provoking dialogue; and provide high-quality, practical tools to galvanize the creative economy.
Through inspiring keynote presentations, collaborative panel discussions, and informative breakout sessions, Creative Exchange addresses common challenges in the creative industries and sparks innovation to tackle those challenges head-on.
Amanda Mazzo was honored to be selected for a panel about Building in Public: Refining Your Artist Voice Through Just Doing It.
“Inspiration does exist, but it must find you working.” Pablo Picasso
As creatives, we may be tempted to wait for that perfect moment to create, but studies show that quantity really leads to quality, even in art. But how do we motivate ourselves to take that moment daily? Amanda along with panelists Yurina Yoshikawa, and Ayumi Bennett (moderator) shared how starting small led to building something much bigger than when they first started, whether a business or a gallery show. When we choose to share our work in progress, we get better on the journey, and also end up finding our cheerleaders and clients.
